Economic Planning Division

 

The MFEM Economic Planning Division are looking for individuals to join the team as a Senior Microeconomist, Senior Macroeconomist or Budget Analyst

This fantastic opportunity to apply your skills at the heart of government in a rapidly developing Pacific country is open to 3 individuals for the following roles.

Reporting to the Deputy Director (Chief Economist) of the Economics and Planning Division:

The Senior Microeconomist must have an undergraduate qualification in economics, and five years’ relevant experience working as an economist with a focus on market efficiency, fair pricing and competition regulation. You will have the opportunity to exercise your skills and economic knowledge to support competitive and consumer-focused economic activity in a unique microeconomic setting. You will also have the opportunity to develop your own and organizational capacity within the Economics and Planning Division and contribute to a broad range of economic policy development across Government.

Job Description - Senior Microeconomist

The Senior Macroeconomist must have an undergraduate qualification in economics, and five years’ relevant experience working as an economist with a focus on analysis and reporting on the economic environment. You will be contributing to economic forecasting, fiscal strategy, policy development, and finalising economic forecasts for the Budget. You will also have the opportunity to develop your own and organizational capacity within the Economics and Planning Division and contribute to a broad range of national economic policy development.

Job Description - Senior Macroeconomist

Reporting to the Deputy Director (National Budget and Planning) of the Economics and Planning Division.

The Budget Analyst must have an undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, economics or similar, and experience in preparing quantitative and qualitative analysis, ideally within a government or local government setting. You will contribute to developing the Cook Islands Government Budget from beginning to end, and your analytical input will strengthen decision making for effective financial and economic management.

The Revenue Management Division are seeking suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the following position:

Human Resources Manager

As a Human Resources Manager you will provide effective high quality operational human resource management including advice and technical expertise.

The ideal applicant will hold a degree in Human Resource Management and have experience in a senior human resource or business administrative role.
