The Major Project and Procurement Support (MPPS) Division of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Management (MFEM) is responsible for supporting and providing advice to Cook Islands Government Agencies on 2 key systems:
- Procurement System - the preparation of procurement documents, assessments, implementations and ongoing support
- Tarai Vaka Process (TVP) - an activity management system, designed to support and enhance the Cook Islands Government commitment in planning, controlling and evaluating projects and activities.
The Procurement and Tarai Vaka Process support and compliance will be managed by this division.
MPPS also branches out to support and/or implement major projects and activities on behalf of MFEM. These projects and activities can be donor funded, domestically funded or conjoint.
